The 8000 series. 8020, 8030, 8040 and 8050 climb in driver size and room capability rather than in character — the tuning stays consistent, so you choose by the size of the space and how loud you work, not by taste. The Directivity Control Waveguide is the reason these hold their imaging off-axis, which matters when more than one person needs to hear the mix.

SAM and GLM. The SAM models (8320, 8350, 8351) measure your room with a calibration microphone and correct for it. In an untreated or partly treated Indian room this is not a luxury feature — it is the difference between a monitor telling you the truth and telling you about your walls.

Subwoofers. The 7040 and 7050 extend the low end and take bass management off the main monitors, which usually cleans up the midrange as a side effect.
