The Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus is a wireless over-ear headphone with a 37 mm angled driver, adaptive hybrid noise cancelling, up to 50 hours of battery life and support for aptX, aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC.
The angled driver
The 37 mm driver is mounted at an angle rather than parallel to the ear. Angling the driver aims it toward the ear canal, which changes the arrival time across the ear and is used to improve imaging in a closed cup. It is the main acoustic difference from the standard ACCENTUM.
Codecs and personalisation
Codec support extends to aptX Adaptive as well as aptX, AAC and SBC. aptX Adaptive varies its bitrate with conditions, which keeps a connection stable in crowded radio environments without dropping to the lowest quality permanently.
Sound personalisation is included on the Plus, tuning the response to the listener rather than to a fixed target.
Battery and range position
Battery life is up to 50 hours with Bluetooth and noise cancelling running, with a ten minute charge returning about five hours. Adaptive hybrid noise cancelling adjusts to changing noise levels.
Above it, the MOMENTUM 4 has 42 mm drivers and 60 hours, and the HDB 630 supports up to 24 bit and 96 kHz playback over Bluetooth.
