The Samson SR450 is a closed back on-ear studio headphone with 40 mm neodymium drivers, covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 32 ohms with 110 dB sensitivity, weighing 160 g.

On-ear and light

The ear pads rest on the ear rather than around it, which keeps the SR450 small and light at 160 g. That suits long sessions, portable use and anyone who finds larger over-ear headphones hot.

Closed back and easy to drive

The closed back keeps a click track or a backing mix out of a nearby microphone while recording. At 32 ohms with 110 dB sensitivity at 1 mW, the SR450 plays loud from a phone, laptop or interface without a headphone amplifier.

The 40 mm drivers use neodymium magnets and cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Cable and alternatives

A 2.5 metre cable ends in a gold plated 3.5 mm plug, with a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter included for interfaces and mixers.

For a closed back over-ear fit, the Samson SR550 uses the same driver size. For mixing with a wider stereo image, the semi-open SR850C uses 50 mm drivers.
