RME M-32 DA Pro II-D Dante + MADI 32-Channel D/A Converter

The RME M-32 DA Pro II-D turns up to 64 Dante channels back into 32 analog outputs on D-sub, with MADI available at the same time and two redundant network ports.

Output stage

Thirty two analog outputs on 25 pin D-sub connectors, each with maximum level switchable at +24, +19 or +13 dBu at 0 dBFS. Signal to noise is 119.8 dBA at +24 dBu, with THD+N below -111 dB, or 0.00028 percent, at -1 dBFS. Those are the same converters as the AVB version of this model.

Dante and MADI

Two RJ45 ports carry up to 64 Dante channels with full redundancy. Two MADI I/O are fitted, coaxial BNC with an optional optical SFP module, up to 128 channels. Word clock sits on a BNC I/O.

In a monitoring or playback position that combination means one converter can be fed from the Dante network normally and from MADI when the network is down.

Front panel and supply

A 2 inch display with control knob handles setup on the unit. Remote control is over HTTP and JSON, with MIDI over MADI supported. Two monitored, fully redundant internal power supplies are fitted, in a 19 inch enclosure of one height unit.

Ordering the right one

Pair this with the M-32 AD Pro II-D for 32 channels in each direction on a Dante network. For an AVB network, the M-32 DA Pro II does the same job with two 1 GigE AVB ports carrying four streams of up to 16 channels.
