The Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 is a 2-channel DJ controller that works with rekordbox, djay, Serato DJ Lite and Traktor Play, USB bus powered over USB-C, weighing 2.1 kg.
Built as a first controller
Two channels, eight back-lit rubber Performance Pads and support for four DJ apps make the DDJ-FLX4 the entry point to Pioneer DJ's layout. It is the same control arrangement found on club equipment, so the habits learned here carry straight to a booth.
It works with rekordbox, djay, Serato DJ Lite and Traktor Play, so the choice of software is not locked in by the hardware.
Connections
USB-C connects to a laptop and powers the controller, so there is no power adapter. Master outputs are on RCA, with a headphone output and a 1/4 inch TRS microphone input for announcements.
Size
The controller measures 482 x 59.2 x 272.8 mm and weighs 2.1 kg, small enough to carry in a backpack alongside the laptop.
For four channels and full size jog wheels, the DDJ-FLX6-GT is the step up, and the DDJ-FLX10 adds track separation.
