Moog Sound Studio: Mother 32 & DFAM Synthesis

The Moog Sound Studio Mother 32 and DFAM bundle combines Moog's semi-modular melodic synthesizer with its semi-modular percussion synthesizer, in a 2-tier rack with a 4-input summing mixer, patch cables and guided exercises.

A bass or lead voice and a drum voice

Mother-32 carries the melody: one oscillator from 8 Hz to 8 kHz with saw and pulse waves, a filter with low and high pass modes, a 13 note keypad, and a sequencer that stores 64 sequences of up to 32 steps. DFAM carries the rhythm: two oscillators, noise, and an 8 step sequencer with pitch and velocity tracks.

Clock one from the other and the pair plays as a single groove box, bass line and drums locked together.

Semi-modular

Both make sound before a single cable is patched. The patch points, 32 on Mother-32 and 24 on DFAM, override the internal routing when you want to take the patch further. The bundle's guided exercises walk through that step by step.
