Nine faders is the point

Nine faders is a mixer strip, not a token control. Eight channels plus a master, mapped to the DAW, means level moves happen on hardware instead of with a mouse. The 25 key model in the same range has one fader; this is the size at which the Oxygen Pro becomes a control surface as well as a keyboard.

Alongside them sit eight assignable knobs with their own buttons, and 16 pads for drums and clip launching.

The keybed

Forty nine full size keys, velocity sensitive with aftertouch. Full size matters here: at 49 keys the instrument is meant to be played with both hands, and mini keys at that width would be a compromise for no gain in desk space.

Smart Chord and Smart Scale, an arpeggiator, pitch and modulation wheels and a 1/4 inch sustain socket are all standard across the Oxygen Pro range.

The controller is 31.5 inches wide, 10.4 inches deep and 3.3 inches high, weighing 9.3 lbs. The Oxygen Pro 61 adds an octave at 38.0 inches wide and 10.6 lbs, with an identical control layout, so the choice between them is playing range and desk width alone.
