Lewitt LCT 040 Condenser Microphone (Pair)

The Lewitt LCT 040 MATCH pair supplies two matched compact small diaphragm cardioid condensers, each 83 mm long with a 17 mm capsule, 18.8 mV/Pa sensitivity and 20 dB(A) self noise.

A matched pair for stereo

Two microphones selected to measure alike give a stable stereo image, which is what drum overheads, piano, stereo acoustic guitar and ensemble recording need. A mismatched pair pulls the image toward the brighter or more sensitive side.

Each microphone

Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Sensitivity is 18.8 mV/Pa, self noise is 20 dB(A), maximum SPL is 135 dB at 0.5 percent THD, and dynamic range is 115 dB(A). Output impedance is 203 ohms, and each runs on 48 V phantom power.

There are no pads or filters. The short 83 mm body and 44.6 g weight make a pair easy to place on a stereo bar or clip inside a kit.

Compared with the LCT 140 AIR pair

The LCT 140 AIR pair adds a -12 dB pad, an 80 Hz low cut and the AIR and FLAT sound switch in a longer body. Choose the LCT 040 pair for compact placement and simplicity, and the LCT 140 AIR pair when loud sources or tonal options matter.
