Lewitt LCT 040 Condenser Microphone

The Lewitt LCT 040 MATCH is a compact small diaphragm cardioid condenser, 83 mm long and 44.6 g, with a 17 mm capsule on a 3 micron gold sputtered diaphragm, 18.8 mV/Pa sensitivity and 20 dB(A) self noise.

Deliberately simple

The LCT 040 has no pad, no low cut and no sound switch. Where the LCT 140 AIR offers those controls, the LCT 040 keeps only the capsule and the electronics, in a body short enough to fit inside a drum kit or between guitar strings and a soundhole.

Its sensitivity of 18.8 mV/Pa is higher than the LCT 140 AIR's 14.6 mV/Pa, so it needs less preamp gain on quiet sources.

Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Self noise is 20 dB(A), maximum SPL is 135 dB at 0.5 percent THD, and dynamic range is 115 dB(A). Output impedance is 203 ohms. It runs on 48 V phantom power.

Without a pad, very loud close sources are better handled by the LCT 140 AIR.
