Where the 8 inch woofer earns its place

The low end reaches 36 Hz, against 42 Hz on the Rokit 7 G4. Those six hertz sit exactly where kick drums and sub bass live, which makes the Rokit 8 the choice for electronic music, hip hop and film work where the bottom octave has to be judged, not guessed.

The trade is size. An 8 inch monitor in a small untreated room can overload the bass, so the room has to be large enough to carry it.

25 DSP settings

A DSP driven graphic EQ with 25 settings, set from a rear LCD, tunes the low and high frequencies to the room and the placement. Matching Kevlar drivers keep the tone consistent across the crossover, and the front firing port handles placement near a wall better than a rear port.
