The KRK Rokit 7 G4 is a bi-amped 2-way studio monitor with matching Kevlar drivers, a 7 inch woofer and a 1 inch tweeter, driven by a 145 W Class D amplifier, covering 42 Hz to 40 kHz and reaching 110 dB.

Matching Kevlar drivers

The woofer and the tweeter are both made from Kevlar. Using one material for both drivers keeps the tonal character consistent where the two meet at the crossover, so a vocal or a guitar sitting in that range does not change colour as it moves between drivers.

DSP room tuning with a screen

A DSP driven graphic EQ offers 25 settings, set from an LCD on the rear panel. The settings shape the low and high frequencies for where the monitor actually sits: close to a wall, on a desk, or out in the room. A spectrum analyser app from KRK helps choose the right one.

The port fires forward, which reduces the bass build-up a rear port produces near a wall.
