JBL Professional 306P MKII-EU 6-inch 2-Way Powered Studio Monitor (Black)

The JBL 306P MkII is a powered 2-way studio monitor with a 6 inch woofer and a 1 inch tweeter in JBL's Image Control Waveguide, 112 W of bi-amplified power, covering 47 Hz to 20 kHz within plus or minus 3 dB and reaching 110 dB peak.

The middle of the 3 Series

Against the 305P MkII, the 6 inch woofer takes the low end from 49 Hz to 47 Hz, raises peak output from 108 dB to 110 dB, and increases amplification from 82 W to 112 W. For a medium sized room, that extra headroom and bass is usually the better balance of size and output.

Waveguide and Boundary EQ

The Image Control Waveguide around the tweeter widens the sweet spot and sharpens the stereo image. The Boundary EQ switch reduces the bass boost that builds up when monitors sit on a desk or near a wall, so the low end is judged as it is, not as the furniture makes it sound.
