Description
The Hawk SXSG005 is a 1.5 metre Gold Series balanced cable joining an XLR male to a 1/4 inch TRS male, with oxygen-free copper conductors and spiral shield, 6 mm across at 24 AWG.
Where a 1.5 metre cable belongs
This is the short length in the series. It suits studio monitors standing on the desk beside an interface, or a keyboard connected to a mixer on the same stand, where a longer cable would only coil up behind the gear.
It connects a balanced 1/4 inch TRS output to an XLR input. Both ends need to be balanced for the interference rejection to work, so confirm the output is TRS rather than an unbalanced TS jack.
Construction
The conductors are oxygen-free copper and the shield is an oxygen-free copper spiral, which rejects electromagnetic and radio frequency interference while staying flexible. The cable is 6 mm in outer diameter at 24 AWG.
A cable tie is included, and Hawk warranties the cable for one year against manufacturing defects.
Other lengths
The same cable comes in 3 metres as the SXSG010 and 5 metres as the SXSG016. Choose the shortest length that reaches without pulling on the connectors.
