Eve Audio EXO24 Active 2-way Studio Monitor

The EVE Audio EXO24 is a compact 2-way active monitor with a 4 inch coated aluminium woofer and the Precision AirMotion tweeter, 280 W of Class-D amplification, covering 54 Hz to 24 kHz at up to 102 dB SPL.

280 W in a 4 inch monitor

Every model in the EXO series carries 280 W of amplification, including this smallest one. On a 4 inch monitor that is a large amount of power, and the point of it is headroom rather than volume: transients are reproduced without the amplifier running out of room, even when the average level is modest.

Frequency range is 54 Hz to 24 kHz with a maximum SPL of 102 dB.

The Precision AirMotion tweeter

The EXO series introduces a next generation AirMotion tweeter, an evolution of EVE's folded ribbon design, fitted with a Guided Directivity Control waveguide. The waveguide controls how the high frequencies spread off axis, which keeps the tonal balance consistent as you move at the desk and makes what reflects off the room resemble what arrives directly.

The woofer is a 4 inch coated aluminium cone.

Where the EXO24 fits

This is the model for a small desk or a small room, where a larger monitor would produce more low end than the space can handle. The EXO25 extends to 44 Hz and 110 dB on a 5 inch woofer, the EXO27 to 41 Hz and 122 dB on a 6.5 inch, and the EXO28 to 37 Hz and 126 dB on an 8 inch.

All four share the same tweeter, the same waveguide and the same 280 W of amplification, so the series decision is about room size and how much bass extension the space can support.
