The DT 770 PRO comes in 32, 80 and 250 ohm versions, and the impedance decides where each belongs. The 80 ohm version is the one for recording. It seals well, handles high sound pressure, and plays loud enough from an interface headphone output, so a drummer or a singer can track with a click and backing mix without bleed.

For a phone or a laptop, choose the 32 ohm version. For mixing through a dedicated headphone amplifier, choose the 250 ohm.
