If you’re wanting to record big voices or big instruments (particularly brass and drums) the 10 dB pad helps prevent the condenser from overloading, meaning the AT2035 handles high sound pressure levels with ease.

What is a Cardioid Condenser?

A Condenser microphone such as the AT2035 contains a delicate diaphragm that captures the vibrations of the sounds you’re recording. This diaphragm is so delicate that it requires powering through the XLR cable, ensuring every aspect of your instrument or voice is captured in crisp detail.
