An 8 inch woofer with a 50 mm high temperature voice coil covers 62 Hz to 20 kHz within plus or minus 3 dB. Maximum SPL is 130 dB peak and 127 dB continuous. For a speaker this size and weight, that is enough for a small venue, a function hall or a DJ set without a subwoofer for speech and most music.

Bluetooth that does more than stream

Bluetooth carries music from a phone, and it also links two TS408s wirelessly as a stereo pair, so there is no cable between the speakers. The Alto app adjusts the DSP from a phone, which means the sound can be set from the audience position rather than from behind the speaker.

Size and the range

At 20.7 lbs, one person carries it. The TS410 uses a 10 inch woofer at the same 2000 W for more low end, and the Alto Busker is a battery powered alternative for use without mains power.
