Description
The ADAM Audio S3V is a three-way active midfield monitor with a 9 inch HexaCone woofer, a 4 inch dome and cone hybrid midrange and an S-ART folded ribbon tweeter, 850 W in total, reaching 32 Hz.
Three ways, one cabinet
The 9 inch woofer carries the low end, a 4 inch carbon composite midrange handles the vocal range, and the S-ART tweeter sits behind the HPS waveguide for precise imaging across a generous sweet spot. The woofer and midrange each have their own Class D amplifier, and the tweeter has a Class A/B amplifier of its own.
DSP and connections
The onboard DSP sets the crossovers and adds user equalisation and in-room tuning. Inputs are analogue XLR and AES3 digital, and the USB port is used for software updates and for controlling the DSP from a computer.
