The SSL UF8 Rack Kit for Center Section is the hardware that mounts a UF8 control surface into a console centre section rather than leaving it standing on the desk.
What it is for
The UF8 is SSL's eight fader DAW control surface. Studios building a fixed control position often want it recessed into a console centre section or a purpose built desk, so the fader surface sits flush at the working height rather than raised on top of everything else.
This kit provides the mounting hardware to do that. It is an installation accessory, so the UF8 itself is sold separately.
Before ordering
Measure the centre section aperture and confirm it matches this kit before purchase, and plan cable access behind the mounting position. A flush mounted controller with no route for its USB and power cables is a problem discovered late.
If a rack mount rather than a desk mount is wanted, SSL also offers a rackmount kit for the UC1 plug-in control surface.
