Built for a desk

Two small cabinets with a 3 inch woofer and a 0.75 inch silk dome tweeter, powered by 50 W. They suit a computer desk, a video editing station or a small home studio where larger monitors would not fit.

What a 3 inch woofer can and cannot do

Response runs from 80 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB, and the pair reaches 97 dB peak. Below 80 Hz the output falls away, so kick drums and bass lines lose their weight. Mixes checked only on these will need confirming on larger speakers or headphones.

For more low end in the same range, the CR4X uses a 4 inch woofer and reaches 65 Hz.

Inputs

Quarter inch jacks, RCA phono connectors and a 3.5 mm stereo aux input connect an interface, a mixer or a laptop headphone socket. This listing is the standard CR3-X without Bluetooth, and it is sold as a pair.
